Payroll, end to end
Monthly payroll for Indian teams, from attendance inputs to payslips, bank files and statutory returns.
Contribution, gratuity and due-date tools for employers in India, set to the law as of 25 September 2026. Every rate is sourced under its tool.
Enter one employee's monthly wages. PF works on PF wages (basic, dearness allowance and retaining allowance, with any excess of excluded pay over half of total pay added back under the Code on Wages). ESI works on gross wages.
The EPF wage ceiling rose to ₹25,000 on 17 September 2026 (S.O. 5109(E)). Sources differ on whether EPS and EDLI follow the new ceiling straight away, so the tool lets you choose. EPS/EDLI ceiling in practice: To be confirmed
ESI coverage runs by contribution period (April–September, October–March): an employee covered at the start stays covered to the end even if pay rises. EPS: members who joined after 1 September 2014 above the then ceiling are usually not EPS members; untick the box for them. International workers follow separate rules and are not modelled.
Under the Code on Social Security, 2020 (in force since 21 November 2025), gratuity is fifteen days' wages for each year of service, using monthly wages divided by 26, up to ₹20 lakh. A part year of more than six months counts as a year. Employees need five years' continuous service; fixed-term employees qualify after one year. The five-year condition does not apply on death or disablement.
Wages here means the Code's definition: basic, dearness allowance and retaining allowance, with the 50% add-back.
The Code says fixed-term employees receive gratuity pro rata; the tool counts their service the same way as other employees'. How part years are treated for them is for the desk to confirm on your facts. Tax treatment of gratuity is outside this tool.
Statutory dates for a monthly payroll: wages, TDS on salaries, PF and ESI, the quarterly salary TDS statement and the annual certificate. Professional tax is a state levy: the two rows shown are examples only, and some states levy none.
If a date falls on a holiday, check the portal before relying on an extension. Your own working calendar sits earlier than these dates.
Government deductors and TDS other than on salaries have different rules. Labour welfare fund dates vary by state and are not shown.
